ANTIQUE SINGER SEWING MACHINE MODEL 24 THE PLATE HAS PATENTED 1886 ON IT, THE NUMBER ON THE BACK LOOKS LIKE D308577 THE MOTOR SAYS DELCO UNIVERSAL ROCHESTER,NY. I'M SELLING THIS FOR A FRIEND WHO PURCHASED IT AT AN ESTATE SALE OF AN ELDERLY DECEASED MAN. I'VE RESEARCHED IT, THE D NUMBER 308577 ACCORDING TO THE SINGER WEBSITE IS A MODEL 24 AND 2000 WERE MADE OF IT ON MAY 5 1908. THE SINGER COMPANY WAS IN ROCHESTER,NY FOR YEARS. IT'S MOUNTED ON A WOOD BASE AND THE MOTOR PART SEPARATES AND INSERTS BACK IN WITH A PEGGED SETUP. THERE IS A METAL PLATE THAT HAS: THREAD,SILK,NEEDLE,STITCH ON IT AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE NUMBERS FOR NEEDLE SIZE OR SOMETHING. I FOUND A SITE THAT HAS THE MODEL 24 http://www.sewalot.com/singer%2024.htm I GOT SOME EMAILS FROM FELLOW EBAYERS WHO SAID THIS WAS A SINGLE STITCH HOUSEHOLD MACHINE
